Pretty neat, although AI is also pretty frightening tech when you think about it. The age of "photographic evidence" could be over, if the AI illusions get so good that even AI can't detect it. The ramifications of "deep fake" are dangerously real. This is astonishing. The power of AI!
Whenever I see those ‘deep fake’ videos of politicians having words put into their mouths, they look obviously faked. But there will come a time in the not too distant future when we won’t be able to tell.Amazing, here is another one, not martial arts related:
Now we can watch history as it never occurred! Or politicians saying things they never said, I think some current ones are already doing that not with standing the existing video.
When I was a magistrate I always marvelled at how stupid the solicitors could be. Once we were hearing a beating case. The level of sentence we could give was set by the degree of reddened marking etc left on the victim, evidenced by photographs taken by the police at the time of complaint. The solicitor/barrister presented the photographs to us, with a straight face, as laser printer copies…black and white laser printsWhen I first started practicing Law, in a previous life, some of the best evidence you could get were photographs. Then videos. Now neither is no better than the witness claiming they are accurate since they can be faked.
