I said this would happen.

Nearly a million workers won't get a consumer protection in the U.S. health reform law meant to cap insurance costs because the government exempted their employers.

Thirty companies and organizations, including McDonald's (MCD) and Jack in the Box (JACK), won't be required to raise the minimum annual benefit included in low-cost health plans, which are often used to cover part-time or low-wage employees.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I've been reading this, and to be honest, I didn't bother posting it because it makes me so angry I could chew nails.

MY insurance costs will go up next year. MY coverage will go down. MY deductible will go up. And I was told - condescendingly, as if I were a stupid child - by the lefties that this was not a problem because it served a greater good. More uninsured people would be covered. No more lifetime caps on insurance payouts. No more children denied coverage. And that makes it all worth it.

Except that a) the uninsured will remain uninsured; b) the insurance companies are pulling out of certain coverage areas left-right-and-center when they can't get a waiver from the feds (see your linked story), and c) my costs are still going up and my coverage is still going down.

I hate this. I hate the liberals who shoved it down our throats. I hate the closed-door sessions of Congress that locked out the Republicans (remember that? I do, and I will on election day too) and the press. I hate the scoffing glee of holier-than-thou socialist jihadists who decided to change the world in their own image, for our own good, whether we wanted it or not. And now we get this - garbage. Higher costs, less coverage, and nobody wins.

Nice job, Democrats. Great work. Remember that on election day when your 'team' is cast onto the rubbish heap of history.

No way Bill. The Government is giving FREE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE TO EVERYONE!

God willing. But you can never go wrong promising "free" stuff to morons. The Democrats will be around for a long time.

What else can we expect from a corrupt government? They'll steal and steal and steal unless we curb it's power.
