During last night's two-hour episode of "The Ultimate Fighter," Marcus "The Darkness/Big Baby" Jones had a bit of a nutty. After learning of Scott Junk's eye problems, Jones went after Matt Mitrione, who poked Junk in the eye in their fight. Jones was nose-to-nose with "Meathead," and it took nearly every fighter and coach in the gym to back Jones down. (Junk's eye ended up being fine.) After he lost his semifinal fight, Jones said that he is done fighting, but he earned his BJJ purple belt after the show ended, and will face Matt Mitrione at this Saturday's "Ultimate Fighter" finale.
Jones wore his emotion on his sleeve throughout the season, and won many fans because of that. He was seen as a gentle giant, but when ticked off, he was the most frightening man on the planet, becoming "Incredible Hulk" like. At 6'6", 265 lbs, his size is a hard puzzle to solve. If he can learn to channel his emotion as well as continue to learn the fight game, he will only be frightening to his opponent.
"The Darkness," as he likes to be called, or "Big Baby," as he came to be known on the show, will get his chance to throw punches at Mitrione this Saturday. Unfortunately, the fight is on the undercard, so we'll have to cross our fingers for some quick fight endings so that Spike can fit in the Jones/Mitrione fight.
