2006 Birth Rates, by Race, Age, and State
The problems of illegal immigration can be nicely summarized by the latest birth rate/fertility rate info from the CDC. According to fertility rate, Whites are still below-replacement level, at 1.86, while Hispanics have risen to 3.0.
The Hispanic birth rate is actually double the native White birth rate (11.6 to 23.4), and their birth rate is even at a higher rate than back in their home countries.
The Hispanic rate of illegitimate child birth is also very high, double the native White rate, but still under the astronomical Black rate.
The periods of highest fertility are also interesting:
Hispanic birth rate skyrockets in the 18-19 year old category and peaks at 20-24, staying high with the 25-29 rate higher than the 18-19 rate.
The Black birth rate peaks at 20-24, but the 18-19 rate is higher than the 25-29 rate.
The White birth rate peaks at 25-29 and 30-34 is higher than 20-24.
Asians peak latest of all, with 30-34 as their highest rate. In fact, the Asian birthrate at that age is the highest of any racial group at that age. It is even higher than the highest White rate, which occurs in Whites from 25-29.
Overall, Whites continue to have the lowest birth rate overall. The exception is the Mormons, who single-handedly skyrocket Utah and Idaho to the 1st and 3rd highest birthrates in the nation, even as 80% of births are to Whites in those states. Arizona has the 2nd highest birthrate by state. Although Arizona also has a high population of Mormons, the birthrate there was driven mainly by Hispanics.
Incredibly, in California only 28% of babies born are White, even lower than in New Mexico, and only slightly higher than Hawaii and Wash. D.C. Texas is only a little higher, at 35%.
It is also a bit shocking to see that less than half of all births are to Whites in a number of Southeastern states, including Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and Mississippi.
