A sad day. I've shot this plane a few times, one of few surviving B17's.

What a shame. I've seen and heard the Liberty Belle fly in CT for a few years now. There is nothing like hearing a B-17 fly over your house. Another piece of history gone. If nothing else I hope they can use the parts from the 2 planes and restore 1 of them to flying conditions again.

Glad that no one was injured the pilot and crew did a great job. The amount of work that goes into restoring and maintaining these war birds is amazing.
