The police here do not bother people who carry kubutans, they do however when a scrote like Day has commited a grave crime go for all the charges they can, wouldn't you do that if you caught a drunk driver?
Day was sent for trial on drink driving and connected charges,carrying an offensive weapon is one of those charges. He was drunk ( and found guilty btw) in charge of a vehicle which he had crashed and left the scene of the accident and had a weapon so of course the police are going to charge him. Carry a kubutan here and behave yourself, you'll be fine, commit a serious ofence and expect to have the book thrown at you. Don't read into this more than is there.

No its not. Self doesn't defense mean going to a guy's house and fighting with him over a girl, then whacking the guy with a stick when you think you're losing the fight.
