Origins of the "T & Dragon" Crest

Many people are curious about the origins of the Tracy T and Dragon Crest. The T and Dragon crest was created by a student at the Tracys San Francisco dojo in the early 60s named Fred Marshall. He was an artist and musician who played bass for the Vince Giraldi Trio. The Trio often performed at the Jazz Work Shop in San Francisco where Red Foxx would often perform his comedy routine. Fred used to talk about Kenpo all the time and wound up bringing Red Foxx and Mort Saul to the dojo where he introduced them to the Tracy's. They both became students of Al's. Red Foxx studied for about a year before moving to Southern California.
