I've seen some Youtube clips of 'determination drills'- where a student puts on headgear (and sometimes gloves), is set in the midst of 4 or 5 students and/or instructors with kicking pads, and then told to spin in place while those around him kind of 'buttress' him/her with the pads to kind of throw them off balance.
The next stage of the drill seems to focus on aggression- another student or instructor in full gear confronts the student, and exchange rapid blows to padded areas (it seems to be generally the stomach area, but I dont' know if that's just due to pads or where they're supposed to hit anyways).
The final part is a technique drill- another student/instructor confronts the student with a firearm, knife, or other weapon, and the student has to disarm them and turn the weapon back on the attacker.
I'm just curious- are such drills commonplace in KM schools? Or do only certain schools (or even specific instructors) use them?
