I also believe in Ki energy. However, in my opinion Ki is simply a battery for your body. Practicing Ki development will NOT enable you to perform superhuman feats. A lot of that is adrenaline under stress. What it will do is keep you energized naturally. If you practice Ki development through traditional martial arts training, it just gives you better health overall, more energy, and perhaps longer life. It does not make you invincible, and it has been severely blown out of proportion by media accounts.
It gives your body energy in ways that western exercise does not. There is a reason why traditional martial arts students can practice into old age, but cannot participate in many Western sports after a certain age effectively. Traditional martial arts, through Ki energy, build your body up, while western sports tear it down. Additionally, martial arts practice combined with special diet such as ginseng will build up the Ki development.
