Iraqi victim's family seeks answers in US

(WHAS11) - As the rain fell outside the Federal Courthouse in downtown Louisville, a family from Iraq stood strong. The Al-Janabi family came to court to ask all the questions they wanted answered from Steven Green.

Their loved ones were killed in Iraq in 2006 by former Fort Campbell soldier Green and three other soldiers. [ ... ] The family was unable to speak out in Paducah when a jury recommended a sentence for Green so they gave their statements today in Federal Court in Louisville.

I was in journalism for several years, and I thanked my lucky stars when I read this article that I wasn't in that courtroom. I would have carried that scene with me for a long, long time.
