For those who are interested, there is a great article in the December 2003 issue of "National Geographic" magazine about the Samurai. It looks at the samurai specifically, with a glance at Bushido in general from historical, archaeological, and sociological perspectives. The photos are stunning (as is to be expected from NG). If you don't subscribe and can't find it in your bookstore (B&N and Borders both carry it) check out nationalgeographic.com in a few weeks. It usually takes them a bit of time to post articles from the current issue.
