Hello all,
During my quest for good martial arts training I came across a school that teaches Kickboxing, BJJ, and a Self Defense style called iCAT. Has anyone heard of iCAT before? It seems to be a comittee of well known martial artists (Mike Lee Karanek from Haganah, Joe Lewis, Richard Ryan, Walt Lysak, etc.) that have joined up to start a new style of RBSD.
I really can't seem to find much information on their web site (http://www.icatwarrior.com) and I was wondering if anyone had any info on the topic.
I am personally interested in training in some sort of RBSD (especially for the knife training) as well as BJJ for the ground game, and this school seems to have both, as long as the iCAT stuff is legit. I did visit the school and the BJJ work seemed very good, while the Kickboxing seemed extraordinarily weak. The nights that I would be going would be the iCAT nights as opposed to the Kickboxing nights.
The instructor is finalizing his certification in iCAT, and apparently there is a belt system.
Any opinions or info? Thanks as always for your time/input!
