I saw this on another forum this afternoon. Makes you wonder doesn't it. Everybody involved should be removed from office immediately IMHO.

It may be much less sinister than portrayed. Casting a proxy vote for someone else is, AFAIK, allowed by parlimentary procedure.

Not in this case. A bit further in the news story they highlight the text of house rules and voting for another member with the machine is not allowed.
