how do u read the arrows?

hi everyone
i have a KF book with a whole bunch of pictures of stances and moves and arrows coming out of feet, or hands
how do u interpret those arrows? their twists, and direction?

The direction of the movement, I imagine--whether the hand you see is moving in, or out.

yah i figured, but they still can be very confusing
so after my foot follows an arrow and twists and does all the stuff according to the arrow, does my foot land? go back or what...
i dont know... maybe i should be asking Bob about it..

I tend not to. I'll only buy a book on a form if I already know. Kinda like a reference so I already have a good idea of what's going where & how.
