Hoorah! Good Times on the Horizon

So, no Gran Turismo fans or players here at MT it seems :(.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be checking into that :). Do you reckon it's too much for a complete beginner to handle right off the bat? I'm trying to get into gaming just a bit this summer.

By all accounts there should be a variety of 'realism' levels available so that people can 'ease' themselves in rather than having to leap into the deep end straight off the bat .

Just started playing far cry 2.
Bioshock is on the way after it.

And then some more god of war :)

For myself, the past ten years have mostly been Gran Turismo with a weekly helping of Age of Empires and Delta Force/Counterstrike until last year ...

... then I fell into the pit of life-eating that is LOTRO ...

Ah yes, age of empires. I still like the second version and still play it now and then. Too bad those rst's take up alot of your time in one go.

Shooters mainly for the moment, maybe some more warhammer in the summer (but on the table, not the computer).

LOTRO looks addictive, is it alot like WOW?

It is of the same genre as WOW but more for adults. By this I mean that the whole game is, obviously, based on Lord of the Rings and as such the game encourages more RP (Role Play) behaviour than "Oooh, I've got the badest assed sword of the universe!".

Plus, the graphics knock WOW into a cocked hat. Cartoon versus art, essentially.

Yes, that's quite clear from the screenshots I've seen so far.
Although I'm rather fond of the cartoonish look of WoW. It has something to do with that polymorph ability and dancing chickens I'm afraid.

And how does the game itself evolve? I have found some info already, but mostly vague descriptions. Can you keep evolving after level 10 for instance?

I must say, I'm planning on playing WoW again. Maybe LOTRO can distract me.
