Hello. I just joined MartialTalk.
I am interested in the internal martial arts, principally in taiji quan for meditation, martial skills, and fitness. This interest has developed out of a long-standing flirtation with taoist philosophy.
For about 15 months, I have been attending the Sun Taijiquan School in Wilmington, DE. The school is run by Master Kevin Zhenkang Sun, of the Sun Taiji style family.
Master Sun teaches Yang, Chen, Wu, and his family style Sun Taiji as well as Shaolin Kung Fu, Bagua Zhang (Eight trigram Palm), Xing Yi Quan.
I am just a beginner and have so far worked on the 24-Form and am learning the 48-Form taiji with Master Sun's assistant Dominic Chan. Most recently, I got a taste of a weapons form: the Taiji Kung Fu Fan Form in the first of four special seminars taught by Master Sun.
