I have a big smoker... the kind with a "grill" area for the food, and a smokebox off to the side.
I almost never just BBQ, and I almost never just smoke but I smoke my BBQ, by heating a few coals in the BBQ area, then firing up the smoke box with good seasoned wood... it cooks faster than smoking, and it adds a bad *** smoked flavor to the BBQ.
Much better than that liquid stuff.
