Girlie Man Economics

John Stewart's line in response to the "Girlie man economics" line was for Arnold to tell the 1.3 million Americans living in poverty to "Suck it AHP! Valk it AHF!"

I was a little bothered by his reference to RIchard Nixon. Arnold seems to think the Republican party of today is the same Republican party of the '60's. It isn't. Neither is the Democratic party the same party as back then. While the Dems have become far more centrist, the Republicans have moved waaaaay to the right...on everything but spending.

Regards,

Steve

I realize that politics is all subtle nuance and barely-sent message, but I was disappointed, somehow, that Arnie completely allowed his ambitions to overrule the fact that I suspect he knows perfectly well that what Bush is saying--about choice, gay rights, and money, if not about Iraq--is horseshit. Similarly, I was obscurely disappointed in McClain...and the other alleged, "moderates," who allow themselves to be used to misrepresent what Bush stands for.

I realize this is silly, but I keep hoping that one of these guys will put the country above party loyalty and personal ambition.
