Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Space 1999, Captain Scarlet and UFO were all firm favourites with me ... even in my adult life I would speed home from work to catch re-runs of Thunderbirds on BBC2. A salute to the passing of a genius.

I grew up a huge fan of Space 1999. I had most of the action figures when I was young. I still enjoy Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet as well. I'll have to lift a glass to his memory this evening.
