I wanted to get an opinion of this invention. I saw it way back in a Popular Science issue and thought it might be cool. I'm not that versed in FMA yet, but have tried out the 'stun guns' that you hold in the hand, and honestly, they don't really impress me. Maybe i was checking out a cheap model?
This article is about a hand held stun system in the shape of a baton with some decent reach. Stuff like this always interests me, since New York City's weapon laws are real strict, so a carry pistol is usually not a real good idea for the average citizen. And knives past four inches (i think) is also a no no.
Anyway, since the FMA is the closest thing that I can think as far as a martial art that can teach how to use this new weapon, I wanted to get your guys opinion of it. Also, it seems like a good item for a fencer as well, but their stuff don't usually come up when discussing 'self defense'
PS- the video is not too exciting...
