fma to be related to Arnis or Escrima but the entire spectrum of cultural practices that can be observed among the people interacting habits and characters towards other fellow men. No matter how a filipino became so fanatic about religion but his or her natural instinct is has been a part of his or her well being is manifested in all her or his actions. If in the course of association with the filipinos who are still living in a limited livelihood standard not in a sophisticated high falluting social snap but a humble famly living in a country side, you still find the true value of character that is dominant has a truly cultured bahavior. As a example , a famly of five with the father working in the hacienda as a cane cutter , for so many years day and night they work and under the cruel sun and at night they attend to food preparations . As the children grow they talk as father and mother how they can raised children for a better future. Now the time had come that children were in grade school walking everyday with little bag of rice and dried fish cook for lunch , piece of notebook and a pencil. A daily routine continued to be a part of the childrens growth until they reach elementary and later in the high school. The parents were more worried of the increases of expenses and luckily the son and daughter graduated high school. But that is not the end , they must go to college.

During summer seasons adult kids has to helped their parents in cutting canes and sometimes be a contract in loading cane stokes up in a cargo trucks to be brought to the sugar mill. Earning just enough to save for college entrance fee.The four year course in Nursing and Technical courses made the children graduate and became professionals. Luckily one of them was able to be accepted as Nurse abroad and others working in some business institutions in the Philippines. But inspite of these success, children are still a part of the family , they send money to their parents for medical check-up and help the younger brothers and sister until they finish college too.

This is a simple life for those whose life in the beggining was a life of hard struggle. The family that brought success had only one asset to live for and that is the Philosophy to believe in life, to believe in success and in good health. These values cannot be exchanged with anything else and today it is still the heart of the filipino culture.

With the Philosophical values became a life time value, the art of discipline becomes stronger and stronger that in the course of time, he who maintain the right culture and right practices of the true FMA, can be valued with dignity and honor and not a second hand stolen techniques with no values at all.
