James E. Davis
James E. Jed Davis, 45, of Glen Burnie, died Dec. 5 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
Mr. Davis was born Nov. 22, 1963 in Cheverly, to Harry Evans Davis of Denton, and the late Mary E. Wood Davis who died Oct. 16, 2000. He was a graduate of Old Mill High School in Millersville and had worked for the past 19 years as meat manager for Giant Foods.
He served as instructor at Apolos Karate in Glen Bernie, achieved level of black belt and enjoyed traveling to the Philippines for training and demonstrations in karate.
He loved playing soft ball with the Arden Contracting team and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include three brothers, Rick Davis of Crownsville, Dale Davis of Linthicum and Scott Davis of Alexandria, Va; his stepmother, Janice Davis of Denton; one stepbrother, David DJ Banta of Felton, Del.; and one stepsister Gina King of Baltimore.
Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg Tuesday Dec. 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday Dec. 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Carol Price officiating.
Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery near Smithville.
