Doce Pares Multi-System?

I had a question regarding the Doce Pares Multi-System. I am considering beginning the study of the system but do not know too much about it. I did find a short list of the 7 components of the system and their descriptions but was hoping that someone could give me more insight into the art. I was hoping to learn more about the emphasis on sport vs. self-defense/combat, some of the combative philosophy of the art, how the art is broken down and taught to beginners, and what I should focus on my first year of training in the system?
