Disarms are when you attack your opponent in such a way as to cause them to loose control of their weapon. Attack the hand/elbow that wields the weapon or the opposite side of the head (for a right handed practioner, striking the left side of the head should cause the right hand to lose control of the weapon; vice versa for lefties).
