I train and instruct, have been naively charged for training gear before. I can just imagine what would happen if they saw a live Ginunting or something similar in my car or weapons bag. We are hindered in our training with traditional live blades anyways because of the Canadian ban or "grey area legislation" on a number of indigenous blades. Most notably the Balisong and Kerambit. It really sucks because I love Balisongs. They also tend to say the Kerambit is a "Knuckle-type weapon", too close to knucke-dusters. My favorite local knife store won't even try to import them anymore..

I am very interested in communicating with other any folks or groups active in the preservation of rights in regards to blade ownership. Any educated defense of the balisong articles would be greatly appreciated as well. We don't have a Knife Rights group like in the US. If anybody knows of any, please send me or post their contact information?
