Angles of attack 1-12 - Set....and strike.

So, I thought I'd ask others from different FMAs the same question. What is the significance of the "set" before the strike in your 12 angles of attack?
I'll provide my answer in a later reply. I'm not quite set up for posting vids but I'll try to get something recorded and uploaded. It's easier sometimes to just show than tell.
