Fencing Advice?

Fencing is a lot of fun, its a great workout too. I also practiced French Style. I am not surprised your legs are sore, its a great a workout. Lunging is very important also extending the arm in foil to show the right of way. One exercise I did was stand in a narrow area or limit my area to make it narrow in order to work on balance and on your stances while practicing foil, I am assuming you are starting off with foil. I am glad its working out for you.

Great statement! Starting off with foil is also what I recommend. Fencing requires a lot of subtlety. I also recommend using a French grip for the first year for that very reason. Then one can move on to other weapons and pistol grips.
