Ask many British fighters and fight fans for the best young prospect on the U.K. scene and more often than not you'll hear the name Terry Etim. He's no Susan Boyle from 'Britian's Got Talent" but he's showing the wares to be Britian's "Next Big Thing." At 6-foot-1, he's a nightmare matchup with great kicks and solid hands, and unlike many British fighters, who struggle on the ground, Etim is dangerous from his back. He's already earned two Submission of the Night bonuses.

Etim, 23, has turned in three straight UFC wins over Justin Bucholz, Sam Stout and Brian Cobb. He also went the distance with Rich Clementi and Gleison Tibau in losses at the age of 21. Etim certainly can't look past Shannon Gugerty, who's up next on Saturday at UFC 105. He was almost derailed by Bucholz. The Californian broke Etim's nose in the first round. The Brit said he survived a lot on adrenaline before scoring the finish against Bucholz in the second round. If Etim gets by Gugerty, there's no reason he shouldn't get a shot at a top 10 UFC lightweight like Joe Stevenson, Clay Guida, Kurt Pellegrino, Nate Diaz, Roger Huerta or even a rematch against Tibau.

Etim has trained all over the U.K. and has ventured to the U.S. as well. He credits his recent improvement in jiu-jitsu to some time he spent with Marc Laimon in Las Vegas and working with several black belts in his camp.
