Double hooks with the same arm

Do you train double hooks with the same arm?

You can use the 1st hook to

- knock down your opponent's jab (or cross).
- grab (or downward parry) your opponent's wrist.

Your 2nd hook then hit on his head (or get a head lock).

I have only seen the triple hooks used in the praying mantis system (in the last form). Does it exist in your MA system?

What's your opinion on this?

I use double hook often. Sometimes to knock down someones hand like you said.
But other times just two strikes to the face. I've even done three in a row one time.
I call it my slap hook. It's looser and faster than my check hook and sometimes striking more with the palm.

it's never something I set up, but when the situation is right, a good slap or two (or three) sets people up nice for a stiff cross.

I don't use a double hook, but if the opportunity presented itself I could see me using it. For me, most people are not in range for another hook after landing the first hook.

1st hook - control the wrist.
2nd hook - control the neck.
