The Origins Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland http://www.originsevents.com is coming soon. As mentioned previously, the Kenpo Divisions will be run by Bob White and the BWKS team. Instead of compensation, Mr. White and team will be donating their proceeds to the Royal Family Kids http://www.rfkc.org This means that the more Kenpo competitors we have the more money we can raise for a worthy cause.

Online registration is now open and a list of divisions can be found at http://originsevents.com/2011originsinternational/tournament.html#kenpo

This competition is open to kids and adults and the sparring will be combined with the Kajukenbo competitors, which should ensure plenty of great competition.

We are excited to announce that we will be awarding a special “Grand Champion Prize” for the top Male and Female Black Belts as well as the top Junior. For each Kenpo division you enter, you have the opportunity to earn points for a first, second or third place finish. The male and female Black Belt as well as the Junior with the most total points will win a special embroidered uniform. Please see the picture below. (The final uniform will have the competitor's name on it, we chose Mr. Parker’s name as an example).

If you have questions, please email [email protected] or [email protected].

Thank you for your support.

Besides the normal kenpo divisions at the tournament we will also have Jeff Speakman`s Kenpo 5.0 competing. I have seen these guys train and they work hard. I personally am looking forward to watching them compete. Jeff has a high standard for his guys and they will be ready. The competition for Grand Champion should be excellent with the best rounded kenpo black belt rewarded. This method was suggested by Advisory Board member Brian Duffy.
Respectfully,
Bob
