TCMA and Lion Dancing

It is said that to be a true TCMA you must know how to play the drums, cymbals and lion dance. Its nice to get some into some of the culture and your fitness level will jump to the next level however is this tradition becoming a thing of the past?
The division between the 2 are growing more apart these days, TCMA schools focus more towards fighting and lion dancing organisations are formed without any elements of stances and move purposes.
Do you guys go to schools that teach both?
Do you think TCMA schools should focus more on the whole package rather than just fighting?
