Deciphering teacher's commands?

All,

Can someone help me with the phonetic pronunciation of the various commands they use. They say it so fast I can't pick it up. I'll start with what I know:

Ready Stance=JoomBe
Bowing to the high belt=
Bowing to the next highest belt=
End of Forms, command to put you back to the start=
End of Forms, command after ready stance (relaxed stance)=

There are a ton more I don't remember, so please add all you know. If there is a link to this please let me know. I can't find any in the books but JoomBe. I hope this is standard across schools.

I reccomend this site for basic commands & terms. http://www.martialartsresource.com/korean/TKD.list.htm It's good list.

Be aware that some instructors will use a different term for the same thing. For example, one instructor may use the Korean for "turn around" while the next instructor may use the Korean term for "about face." I hope this list is helpful to you.

And I have a Master that says Korean terms different from the other Master. So when he's leading the class I get confused at times. I agree those are great resources.

I liked the fact that this author sometimes will say "it's also said another way."

Heck, I sometimes confuse my students in English. I sometimes will call a certain stance 2-3 different things in class.

My advice is learn the terms & be patient with yourself & your instructor.
