Customs officers have seized 1,932 karaoke machines bearing counterfeit logos, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman said on Thursday.
The machines, worth nearly $1 million on the retail market, were found in a shipment at the Los Angeles/Long Beach ports, U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Jaime Ruiz said.
They arrived on a container ship from China and carried counterfeit markings identifying the manufacturer as SanDisk, Ruiz said.
A spokesman for SanDisk told Reuters the memory chip giant does not make karaoke machines.
