On the other hand....

Roy (of Sigfried&Roy) was just about killed by a tiger that was treated like a household pet during a "routine" show. I wouldnt bet the life of my child on the assumption that I could "control" a wild animal. Smacks of an ill thought publicity stunt to me. Does it warrant all this hype??? I dont know.

But I do agree with with one point. There are plenty of "everyday" parents who neglect/abuse their children. We never see them or get outraged . Show one thing on TV though.........

I wouldn't do something like that with my son for sure, but Steve decided it was a good choice and, made a lot of press off of it. Of course this is the second child and he did something like this with his first and no one whipped up like this about it. I think the media was working another 'child' story in while the hype around the Micheal Jackson case is getting so much press.

I am more upset about the general population acting like sheep and letting thier emotions and world opinions be dictated by only what the media decides is important enough to show/will make them money.

The world is full of things to get worked up about, I just don't think this is high on the priority list for me. We hear very little about our troops in Irag/Afghanistan now, or other MUCH more impacting events.

Actually I read something that said that what really happend with sig freeid and roy was a heart attack and the tiger hauld him off to protect him.
But I still think that there are some things you just shouldnt risk.
