chinese spies and assassins

I think beggar art was not fantasy ..because still they are teaching yin sen shu in some parts of the world....also lin kuei were not pure imagination ..some chinese say that when they were young their patents used to scare them by saying that "there were demons in the forest wearing black clothes so dont go alone at night ". The only problem is that there is no enough evidence to prove it.

I think if a well respected CMA person tells you it's a fantasy you can be sure it is. The 'monsters/ghosties/devils' whatever in the forest/moors etc who take little children is a well known (empty) threat made by parents all over the world throughout the ages. Read the original Grimm's fairy tales ( they are quite gruesome) and look up different countries myths and fairytales.

It was fantasy. All the references come back to the same fantasy sources. Lin Kuei first entered the dialogue as part of a video game… "Haha Lung" and others then wrote books claiming to have these "ancient secrets"… problem is, "Haha Lung" is a fraud, and simply another pseudonym for Chris Hunter/Ashida Kim… so no, it was all fantasy.

Then why these books are getting published ...are they playing with people's imagination??

There are film makers and writers who try very hard to be authentic in their works but authenticity doesn't always fit when you are trying to tell a fictional story. We know there aren't orcs, elves and unicorns etc but we suspend belief when reading/watching because it's entertaining. We enjoy the fiction but assuming that everything is real in fiction is always going to be a mistake.
