JKD was lee's own personal approache to the martial art, and regreted the day he coined the phrase. its only a name he would say please dont fuss over it.
i wonder how many so called JKD schools would be open today if he was alive.
whatever JKD is supposed to be today it would and has to be completly different to how lee practiced it himself .
if you are going to train in the spirit of JKD fine but as for saying i do JKD to my mind it cannot be taking to seriously.
