Can someone tell me the general differences between the main "branches" of Hapkido? For example, what differentiates Sin Moo Hapkido from other branches?

Thanks.

I do not practice Hapkido but have seen many videos. Seems like all branches has different sequences of teaching techniques and some has very different flavor. For example, the Hoijeon Musool Hapkido by Myung Jae Ok is very Aikido-ish. The Yong Sul Kwan of Kim Yung San has many techniques similar to japanese Aiki jujutsu. The Sin Moo is more dynamic, has many excellent kicks & explosive techniques. The one practiced in Korea (IHF) is very similar with Sin Moo.

Off course this is just an opinion from an outsider (Japanes martial artist) who has seen too much videos :)
