I did a road trip on the weekend to the Toronto area to take part in the first Blade tech/Western Piper method seminar to be held in Canada. Dean Franco is an excellent instructor who attracted students from across Ontario (and one who came from Vancouver Island ). I have previously done a little Piper, but to see and feel it with more experienced instructors was a revelation. Blade tech is Dean's version of blade work, heavily based on FMA. On Sunday, Datu Tim Hartman came up and joined us as a student.
Had a great time, learned a lot, have stuff to work with, met some great people. A weekend well spent.
