Best Movie Soundtracks Ever

What are your favorites? I am feeling nostalgic and pulled out some really old vinyl, listening to the Repo Man soundtrack. So here are some of my favorites in no particular order:

1. Repo Man (the movie with Emelio Estevez)
2. Highlander
3. Pump Up The Volume
4. Oh Brother Where Art Thou
5. Songs from a Cool World (I think the first movie I saw Brad Pitt in)

Guardians of the Galaxy.

West Side Story and Woodstock.
That’s some thick jam right there.

I'm gonna say it, since I know everyone's been deliberately avoiding it: Forrest Gump. Yes, the fact that the movie may have been specifically made to chase Academy awards is very blatant (and the highly curated soundtrack may even be the best example of this), but you can't deny that it was good.

My personal favorite soundtrack is the one to Dirty Dancing.

Do The Right Thing has a good one as well, but so do all Spike Lee movies.

Ghost Dog Way of the Samurai came up last week. Terrific soundtrack.

A movie with a weird and fun soundtrack is Wes Anderson's Asteroid City. It really reminded me of playing Fallout 3.

There are so many.
West Side Story.
Cabaret.
A Star is Born.
The Jazz Singer.
