Yesterday, Bob presented the liberal case for his candidacy. Today, Justin Quinn over at About.com present the conservative case for the Libertarian Party presidential nominee:

It’s been a long campaign, and many conservatives are sick and tired of the sniping going on between Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his Democratic rival Barack Obama.

What’s a conservative to do?

Quinn points to Bob Barr, calling him a “conservative candidate, who will be on the ballot in most states.

A former CIA agent, Barr was appointed US Attorney in 1986 by then-President Ronald Reagan, and successfully prosecuted members of the Medellin Drug Cartel, and former Republican Congressman Pat Swindall, who lied under oath about his attempted procurement of more than $850,000 to finance a luxury home.

As a Republican Georgia Congressman, Barr was known as one of the most conservative lawmakers to ever enter the US House of Representatives. Although he has reversed positions on several key issues, including the war on drugs, Barr remains an alternative some conservatives may have forgotten.

Bob Barr is the only choice for conservatives worried about the future of our country. Republicans, McCain included, have voted for bigger budgets, killed federalism and worked to erase precious liberties that are protected under our Constitution.

Bob Barr is the only candidate that wants to restore the Constitution and fiscal sanity.
