Of course the is a positive spin to it...but does a toy designed for the little girls need that?


I was amazed to see it in the shelves, a year or two after several groups were outraged at the notion, since it could be a dangerous tool in the hands of pedophiles...

That's... more than a little creepy. From the article, you upload pics by plugging your USB cable into her tramp stamp. And apparently you snap pics by pushing on her crotch.

Ohmigod. That's a real Mattel Barbie and not some paedophile's hack project on eBay?

I think the only thing more disturbing than that as a production doll is the comments from people who are incredulous that a person could actually be outraged over such a thing.

I am completely flabbeghasted, really.

I thought nanny cams in teddy bears were far out. putting a camera into a barbie would have never crossed my mind on the 'why don't we try this' scale!

I wonder how many good 'uncles' have so far purchased this thing for there prospective angels... :barf:


Don't get me wrong: I am a HUGE fan of Barbie!
The gal never caved to pressure to get married and had every job under the sun (yes, while looking fabulous). After all, no other toy for girls suggests becoming an astronaut or a fighter jet pilot! (even theough they are from the same company, Mattel never made the strong female characters from ATLA)


(but the shutter button seems to be the belt buckle...)
