That's very cool! If we can hold off the big collapse long enough to scale up teleportation and the warp drive, we may not end up in the stone age after all!

That is my hope too, PG. This time may be our last time to climb this high up the technological tree, so if we fall before we reach sustainability of our society then I think we are done as species.

That sounds ludicrously dramatic but the core point is that, one day, Earth is going to get clobbered with an asteroid again and if we don't develop the technology to stop it or get out of the way then that is Game Over - Please Insert Coin for Next Dominant Species.
