January 29th will host all ranks in traditional weapons, traditional forms, individual sparring, under belt creative weapons and night time finals featuring the best of the in the black belt divisions competing for the AKA Warrior Cup one of the biggest sport martial art trophies awarded.
This year the AKA has started working with the USTC to help promote unity within the organizations. While on the surface we may be serving different communities, our core goals of keeping traditional martial arts alive and well are very much the same. Through this we are doing cross promotion of events. We invite people of the TKD community to come out and participate or watch the Grand Nationals, which was started by the late GM Ernest Lieb who was a Jidokwan, Takwondoin. For USTC members we are offering a special discount on registration as well as we would like to work with the TKD community in general.
We are also working to promote the Hanmadang within the AKA organization to bring sport martial art competitors out and experience an excellent TKD event as well. We hope to see some of you at the event. Please feel free to contact me offline at korean-tkd@sbcglobal.net
