Actor Phil Mooris on Wing Chun

Not knowing much about Wing Chun, I did find it interesting and informative. Thanks............

A very interesting interview indeed - a charismatic and eloquent presentation.

Perhaps the best compliment I can pay to how well this was put across is that, despite my grounding in Chinese martial arts, I had previously had no interest in seeing Ip Man ... now I do.

A couple of phrases really struck home, universal concepts of all arts I think.

Paraphrasing what was said:

-Fightings hard. You need courage and intelligence to fight.
-If you are worthy of what I can teach then I will teach it to you. If you are not then it doesn't matter if I teach you or not, you can't learn it.
-Use the martial way to calm your spirit

That last in particular is very resonant with myself.

Look closely at the Mook Jong in the background to the left, is that a steering wheel attached?

yes it is, Hawkins has alot of crazy training equipment from steering wheels to shopping carts with arms! =D

Too cool, thanks. I'm a huge fan of your Youtube Channel :) As soon as I saw the Mook Jong, I immediately thought about your video mentioning the motions of WC to that of holding a steering wheel. I was actually going to post a link to your channel, but cancelled it when I saw you were here lol. You are a martial arts celebrity in my book :ultracool, thank you for sharing your knowledge!
