a hexagon on Saturn's north pole?!

Wow! That's really cool!

Nice link.

The researchers found that once the plate was spinning so fast that the water span out to the sides, creating a hole of air in the middle, the dry patch wasn’t circular as might be expected. Instead it evolved, as the bucket’s spin sped up, from an ellipse to a three-sided star, to a square, a pentagon, and, at the highest speeds investigated, a hexagon.

I believe Saturn's day is ~10 hours. That's a very fast rotation.

Cool and interesting!

Those conspiracy theorists and their crazy 'these things can happen naturally' ideas! Sheesh.

Don't you think it's more likely that the same beings that carved the face into mars have moved on to bigger and better projects?

Yup, and if you look around you can find pictures of the face from other angles. It stops looking like a face pretty quickly.

You guys know the face on mars and the hexagon on Saturn are all pranks by some bored alien frat boys like the crop circles here on earth right?

I tend to agree with the giant interstellar space bees theory myself. Or it's a stop sign. Or....a stop sign for giant interstellar space bees!
