The Loudoun Academy of Martial Arts is proud to present a day of master seminars with Master Joseph Pierro. With over 33 years of martial arts training, Master Pierro has earned a 7th degree black belts in both Shaolin Kempo Karate and Sanryudo, as well as a 6th degree black belt in Ju-Jitsu. Master Pierro has instructed numerous law enforcement officers, and provided training to airline personnel in anti-terrorism techniques. October 8th Seminar Schedule:

9:00-10:30 AM Introduction to the Shaolin Animals (Geared towards ages 12 & under)

11:00-12:30 PM Close Quarters Combat (Ages 13 & up)

1:00-2:30 PM Defense Against and Use of Knives and Sticks (Ages 13 & up)



Introduction to the Shaolin Animals – This seminar is designed to give young martial artists and introduction to the animal styles of the Shaolin Temple. Techniques from the Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake, and Dragon will be covered. This is a great way to get an introduction to Shaolin Kung Fu for students studying other styles! Cost for this seminar is $40, with a reduced price of $30 for participants that register prior to September 8th.



Close Quarters Combat – Learn the anti-terrorism techniques being taught to airline and other transportation workers. Apply your existing training to a different environment than you may be used to working in. Gain exposure to the advantages and disadvantages of working in a small space against an attacker. Cost for this seminar is $50, with a reduced price of $40 for people who register before September 8th.



Defense Against and Use of Knives and Sticks – Learn both defensive and offensive techniques using knives and sticks, the weapons you’re most likely to encounter in real life. Use maneuvers that have been taught to law enforcement around the country. Cost for this seminar is $50, with a reduced price of $40 for people who register prior to September 8th. Please add $20 to your registration fee if you need to order the required escrima sticks for this seminar.
