This is why I have come to loathe so much about the martial arts. All the arguing and bickering over "this way is better than that way." Or the "true" or "real" way. Reasonable minds would agree there are likely many permutations of the so-called one inch punch, as made popular by Bruce Lee. No doubt he drew from his extensive knowledge base when creating/putting a new spin on the technique. Also it is likely other arts have developed close proximity strikes independent of Bruce Lee and his inspiration, which are effective in their own right.
I believe OP shared this video to demonstrate how effective a short range strike can be. While more pop science than hard science, the point is well taken. Sadly, many missed it and turned this into one more pissing match over history and method.
