First off I would like to thank Revere Karate Academy for hosting the seminar.. I would alsot like to thank Mr. Whitson for sharing his knowledge with others like myself.

Second off, if you ever have a chance to attend a seminar with Mr. Whitson I suggest you go. You wont regret it.

Saturday open hand seminar:
Mr.Whitson had us start off doing combos with Gripping Tallon, Triggerd Salute, and Circling The Horizon in with standing grappling. We worked that with partners back and forth for a while. After working this for a few Mr. Whitson had us start off with a Muay Thai stance. Mr. Whitson showed how to work parries and blocks form that into the elbows from the techniques i listed above. This seminar was about 90 minutes long.

Saturday single stick seminar:

After the open hand seminar we did a single stick seminar. To start off Mr. Whitson showed us the basic movements of striking/attacking are. Shortly after that Mr.Whitson demonstrated how to incorperate blocks in with thes basic motion, using the same motion as atttacking with the single stick. Mr.Whitson showed attack and defense from verticle over head, diganal over head, horizontal (head, midsection, and legs), diaginal coming from bottom up, thrust (pokes) and a coulple of other attacks with the single stick.

Sundays seminar with knives:

On sunday Mr. Whitson showed us that the same basic motion with the sticks can be used (with a small adjustment as to not stabb ones self). Mr. Whitson had us all run a buch of drills, one person attacked with the knife and the other defended. These drills are amazing, I am a beginner all over again and it feels great.

my armes hurt from all the drills.. but it still feals good
