My cousin is a nurse and she told me that this is a made up thing, the doctors don't liek you using cells/mobiles because it means that people aren't paying attention to what's going on around them and also they might need to talk to you and your phone rings.... It's easier just to ban them. They've started easing up on it here because patients want to use them and the bedside phones are a rip-off.
