Whilst I still complain, as only a late middle aged Englishman with delusions of culture can, that there is too much unnecessary fornication in this series {;lol:}, I am looking forward to seeing the story move on.

As with so much, now, it is just a sadness that my darling wife cannot sit at my side and watch it with me. I shall particularly miss being able to give her the chance to rebuff my requests to have Melisandre, Ygritte or Margaery Tyrell for Christmas - such rebuffs usually backed up by a stiff poke of a finger or a thrown cushion :D {to explain a little, it was one of the small ways we showed our bond to each other}. Whatever happens to our consciousness when we die, in my mind I shall hold her spirit close so that we shall see the tale unfold together regardless.

My wife and I spend a lot of time together watching such shows too--I understand. We didn't take to Game of Thrones, though, even though we should be the core audience for that sort of show. We are sci-fi/fantasy fans but it just didn't grab us.

We got right into this one, add well as Spartacus. Looking forward to the new season. While it can be fairly graphic it also has good story line and character depth.
